PORTFOLIO: FASHION DESIGN – COUTURE ACTIVEWEAR

MASTER CLASS WITH STEPHANIE COUDERT

In the summer of 2017, the opportunity was given to be mentored by 3-time Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week Guest Designer, Stephanie Coudert. During this month long mentorship, 2 looks were created with the prerequisite that it must be couture with an athleisure element to them. The chosen theme/concept of this project was the famous Japanese woodblock print, “The Great Wave Off Kanagawa,” (or, “The Wave”).

The original vision of the photoshoot entailed having an Arab model and a Japanese model, since both designs were heavily influenced from Arabic and Japanese culture. Unfortunately, at the time I was not able to achieve this. Fortunately, the two models that were available to me did an outstanding job showcasing my designs.
