Now I know that I just did a blog post about wearing color and the importance of implementing it into your life, but I have to give my regards to an all black look as a fashionista.
Where would we be without the color black? Such a simple but alluring statement to make when you wear an all black look. The truth of the matter is black is known to be the “absence of color.” So technically it isn’t a color, but for the sake of this blog I will refer to it as a color.
Having a black dress in your wardrobe is not only a necessity, but it is the standard. When you have a last minute event or outing with your friends and don’t know what to wear, grabbing a black dress from your closet will save your day. Such an event happened to me this weekend. A friend came into town and I had no idea what to wear for dinner. Cue remembering my Wolford Fatal tube dress in black!
I tried it on and it felt like a glove. Problem solved! The perfect dress to wear on ladies night out. While the fabric is a bit on a thin side, it is not revealing at all. I did wear spanx underneath just to keep a smooth look though. This dress is perfect to dress up and dress down. You can even scrunch it to make a mini dress, maxi/midi/mini skirt, and top if you wanted to as well. It is very versatile and can be worn in spring, summer, and fall (if it isn’t too cold). I love this dress so much, I purchased it in two other colors, red and teal (the teal was a steal purchase for only $56 dollars at Nordstrom Rack many years ago).
The night was a success. It was mocktail night for me, and cocktail night for the ladies!
Investing in a perfect black dress is such a staple to have. You can wear it for any occasion and it will give you a chic timeless look. For reference, I am wearing a size small in the Wolford dress and I am a size 6.
