It has taken me a long time to come back and post on my blog because of the passing of my dog, Winston. My last post was in December 2020, around that time Winston’s health began to decline and I shifted all my time and energy into spending time with him and making him most comfortable.
We had many beautiful memories together in the last couple of months. I am lucky to say that Winston passed on naturally and peacefully in his home surrounded by his loved ones. May he rest in peace.
I wanted to make a post on here to honor him because he was a big part of my life, and continues to be so, even after his parting. He taught me so much about unconditional love, and he changed my views on animals forever. Because of him I now view animals as equal to humans, and treat them as such (I don’t eat animals anymore). For example, much of Winston’s life he expressed disdain for having his photo taken, so we all honored his wish. It is important to make animals feel happy, comfortable, and respect their boundaries. After all, we wish the same for ourselves.
Something most people miss is that animals are here to help serve us spiritually, in the sense that they help us see life more clearly. They are not here to serve us as slaves. Caging animals and bossing them around is not right. We humans don’t deserve animals and we have much to learn from them to have a better future for our planet.
I don’t know when I will come back to posting, but I will when I am ready to do so. I have quite a few posts almost ready to be posted actually. I feel it is important to take a step back and take care of yourself when needed. It’s a huge change to lose a loved one.
I hope all of you are in good health and spirits, and continue to be so.
Ma’aasalaama xoxo

Take all the time you need to heal. Love you
This was written beautifully Nadine! Winston was such a beautiful, loving, sweet and charming pup who knew he was the king of the household lol! I completely agree with you that animals should not be caged and we don’t deserve them. They give us the purest form of love and we should never hurt them in any way. May Winston Rest In Peace. Love ❤️
We love you very much sweet Winston. You lived such a beautiful life with such a beautiful family, inside and out. Rest In Peace 🙏🏽
I am so sorry for your loss Nadine, my condolences to you and your family during this time. Your blog was very touching and well written. Winston would be proud and he was SOOO loved! I’m happy for the memories you shared together and get to hang on to from him and his unconditional love. Love you Nadine! Kamal, Brownie and I are always here for you ❤️
Winston our love, I miss him so much too; he brought love and happiness to all of us and made it known to us that he is the boss here lol. He has a big place in our heart and our home. May everyone be blessed with the love of an animal to elevate their consciousness and the experience of unconditional love to animals, humans, and any creation on earth you come across.
Aww!!! May he forever Rest In Peace 🖤🖤🖤 Winston was so loved by you and your family, and he definitely knew it! 🥺 I love you Nadine, and just know I’m always hear for you! ❤️❤️❤️
