A FASHIONABLE ADVENTURE OF RUNNING ERRANDS

Today involved a luncheon, returns, shopping, and appointments…And all I can say is, what a day!

With the cold weather starting to disappear, it is no longer a necessity to wear a heavy coat. On top of that, it is (mostly) no longer a worry of unexpected rain making an appearance while out and about. So, naturally I brought out my new beautiful suede green boots to wear for a fun day of errands (which I got them on sale to boot, haha).

Since last November, I’ve finally gotten on board with wearing belts (as you can see in the picture). And to be honest, I feel like I have been missing out. For quite some time I was not a fan of belts. I told myself it was something I had no intention to add to my wardrobe. I told my tailor last spring that I don’t like wearing belts but to watch and see how one day I’m going to wake up and realize I need belts and run out and buy as many as I can. And guess what? It happened. At least I was aware of my self-limiting beliefs, right? I think all us humans have an addiction to limiting beliefs. It surrounds us and often engulfs us. Even the best of us. That’s why I say this as a reminder to you reading this (and myself), to always exam our beliefs with a discerning eye. What we think is right for us is sometimes wrong for us in the long run.

Regarding the outfit, simplicity is sometimes always best. Especially to have a classic look. A simple outfit is easy to elevate with accessories as well. And, often matching the color of your footwear with your belt can create a more cohesive look. But what really completes a simple look like this is the choice of jewelry. For this type of look, wearing classic style jewelry that matches with day-to-night looks is always the right choice.

While this outfit is overwhelmed with the color black, the green turns it into a more interesting look. I am currently loving the color forest green at the moment as it is such a luxurious color. While it doesn’t match the hue of the green belt I’m wearing, it is a fun element to have the suede boots with the embossed belt.

Typically when I run errands I won’t wear heels, but since these boots have such a low comfortable heel, it wasn’t an issue for me. When it comes to boots, I actually prefer to buy low heeled boots only. I am a big fan of low-effort, high-chic looks! so it goes without saying that I definitely recommend investing in low heeled boots instead of high heels. Your feet will thank you for that, I can assure you.
